Fabrimex History
- 1947
Incorporation of Fabrimex AG in Zürich by E. Oertli. First distributorship for capacitors from Rob. BOSCH for reactive current compensation. - 1955/56
Fabrimex enters the realm of electronics when the company becomes a distributor for International Rectifier (USA) and Texas Instruments (USA). It expands its portfolio to become a leading provider in component distribution. - 1978
aunch of in-house development of power supplies; export activities are intensified. - 1979
Start of photovoltaic activities through a distributorship from ARCO-Solar (USA). - 1982
Acquisition of Dr. K. Witmer Elektronik AG, Erlenbach, Switzerland’s leading manufacturer of laboratory power supplies. - 1986
Systematic expansion of our product line in the domain of systems through distributorships from Datacube (USA), Xycom (USA), and Oettle Reichler OR (Germany). - 1990
Incorporation of CAC-Fabrimex GmbH. Intensification of market servicing activities for power supplies in Germany. - 1992
The component distribution business is sold to Spoerle Electronic. Fabrimex refocuses on 4 business units:
